Anyone that is remotely involved with the HipHop community is definitely aware of what is going on with Kanye West and his announcements right now! It has been no secret that over the last week Kanye has finally gotten back onto Twitter and has been sharing his thoughts. Most of his tweets are usually just funny ramblings or jokes, but sometimes announcements are made. There was DEFINITELY some things worth nothing from yesterday.
First of all he talked about how his newest album is 7 songs and that it is dropping June 1st! That is not far away at all! Then he talked about how Pusha T's long awaited album King Push is coming May 25th. Honestly when I heard that news I became more excited for Push since it feels like we've been waiting for him FOREVER. Then perhaps one of the weirdest announcements was made. Kanye announced that himself and Cudi were releasing a duo album on June 8th. Jokes were made that this was probably Cudi's first time even hearing that he was going to have an album with Kanye.
Given the frenzy of excited fans, I want to really warn new Hip Hop fans here. Tread lightly with these announcements. Kanye is notorious for just tweeting about albums coming out and never actually following through with them. It literally happened so much back in 2016 that it is hard to trust any of this...but my hype remains wild!
