Come and join us at Snout Mag to see all the marvellous things to see and do in the Midwest of WA. This is my home and it's an ocean to outback adventure everyday. Here's a few snapshots from around our neck of the woods.
From the Tiny Township of Coorow North to the Cliffs of Kalbarri. From the Turquoise coast of Jurien Bay to the Outback Desert of the Murchison is what we call home. Hi Vis or Blundstone Boots are the general uniform of choice. Here is one of the most isolated places in the world but you'll find miners, farmers, fishermen, a cold beer and a good story. A 300km drive is 'just a trip up the road' and if anything is going on our BBQs it's Crayfish not 'shrimp'!.
There's a big tractor to check out, a glass marble for all the insty lovers to take a pic with, large dunes for sandboarding, shipwrecks to discover and gold to go detecting for...
Summer means life at the beach, harvest and fighting fires, then Autumn and Winter bring Seeding, Football, Hockey and Netball Season. Spring is all about Grey Nomads, Wildflowers, Festivals and the birth of a new Summer Season. Mix that in with Yoga Classes, Comedy Shows, Vintage Car Displays, Blessings of the Fleet, Long table lunches and you have a full calendar.
Anything can be grown here even with a mean southerly blowing constantly to bend the trees. Tomatoes, melons and pumpkins grow like weeds, mangoes are abundant and have your ever heard of a quandong? Check it out and hit me up if you need any info if you're considering a WA holiday.
