I have been in need of some 'no thinking' fun the last week or so. This means I have been spending most of my nights on YouTube watching makeup tutorials and a few other things.
I come from the generation where watching TV for entertainment was a bit tricky. You had to know what night of the week your favorite shows were on and also what time they aired.
If two shows you liked were on at the same time you were forced to pick one or the other. There was no VCR's, On-Demand anything or any kind of recording device.
If a show you liked to watch was at the same time your Dad wanted to watch basketball you were screwed. The Parents of the house got first dibs over the kids in what show was going to be on the one, yes, one, TV in the house. This made TV a family affair.
I slept through a lot of golf matches on TV in my life and to this day can fall asleep watching a football game.
Being old school I am getting better at using places like YouTube for finding out how to fix and learn things. It's amazing what you can find on there. You all can stop laughing now. I'm doing my best to get into this Century.
When I started Steem my first posts were of me live streaming a game called Hearthstone. I had a lot of fun doing it. I started a brand new Hearthstone account. I showed how it was for a beginner to start playing an online card game that was already two years old.
From being on video I started going through makeup once again. I don't think twice about walking out of my house without makeup on but to film myself in front of people I don't know and expect someone to watch, most times I will put makeup on. It doesn't hurt that I do love playing with makeup for fun.
With all of the above in mind, I found a YouTube makeup person called Jeffree Star. Now do I think he is someone that everyone will want to watch? No. Just in the same way I still can not sit through a basketball game on TV. We all have different likes and dislikes. I happened to find his story interesting and his makeup videos very entertaining.
In line with that, it got me in the mood to try and recreate one of his makeup looks as best I could. I knew I did not have all the types of products he used but I figured I would just skip over those parts. Yeah...
The video above is what happened today when my Husband was out fixing the headlight on his truck. That will teach him! HA!
Here are a few after photos if you can not watch the video. I know makeup isn't for everyone!
