I was on my way to sleep.
I was!
Really!
but...
I thought I should check Twitter first.
Normally Twitter takes me three seconds to check. I don't follow very many people.

I then came across a post by a person called A_Silent_Child on Twitter. In their post they wanted you to:

How would you visually represent your gender and the feelings surrounding it? Any media is fine, the challenge is to connect to and express feelings in a non- verbal way. ~ A_Silent_Child

I found this topic fascinating. I read some of the comments. Some were slightly relatable. Most not so much. There were all kinds of images to look at too. Again some were slightly relatable. Most not so much.

I was intrigued enough to really think about how I feel about myself and being a woman. I can doodle, yet, what was coming into my head was bigger then what a doodle could portray.

Off to Pexels, I went.

In the Pexels search bar, I put in the word 'women'.

The first photo I related to was of a woman by the ocean. Free. Feeling the world around her and drinking it all in. Letting the feelings inside her being cleaned by the ocean breeze.

The next photo that stopped my eye was of a woman all dressed up. The look on her face spoke to me of many things I have felt. As a woman, one of the things I love is to be able to dress in clothes that make me feel beautiful. I downloaded this photo too.

On I scrolled until a photo, I used in a Steem post before, once again stopped my eye. I can relate to this photo on so many levels. You can see it as hiding, living on the outside of life and watching the world around you. I see 'waiting' in this photo too. All things I feel as a woman define me.

At this point, I still wasn't sure what I was going to do with the photos I was downloading. Was I wasting my time? I was unsure. What I did know was how I feel being a woman was not fully represented in the first three photos.

In the search bar of Pexels, I then typed in 'Warrior'.

The golden warrior goddess photo stopped me in my tracks. She reminds me of a panther. One you might want to cuddle with but make her mad? She will hunt you down until you scream for mercy. This, in my eyes, represents being a Mom.

One last photo was needed to complete my feeling of being a woman. A straight-up warrior of old. One that knows your worth when you forget. One that will come out and fight for you when you need it. She is your backbone to take every and all things thrown at you through your life.

Still not knowing what I was planning on doing with all the photos I found I opened up GIMP ( A free version-like of Photoshop) and imported all of the photos.

What happened next, to get the end result, just made itself.

I love how it all compliments each other. I love the feelings this final photo invokes in me. This is a true representation of how I feel being a woman.

I found this exercise to be relaxing and freeing.

Who knew I would find that on Twitter!
Not me, that is for sure!!

Help someone smile today. It can not hurt you.

Snook
