Okay, now that I got some much-needed sleep...... let me say this. I would say I have known @raj808 for a long time, 4+ years. I DO think of him as a friend, as he stated too in one of his replies to me.
I think he is a brilliant writer. He has written some of the best stories I have read on the blockchain. He knows this too.
I was brought up; differently, I guess, than most. There is a way to get your point across without getting snarky. Plus, something like this, to me, belongs in a private DM or their Discord channel. But that is how I think.
You CAN submit any story you want to Dreemport. But it states clearly it needs to be PG 13.
You are not writing your story on Dreemport. Your story is written on Hive. You can write anything you want on Hive.
The only thing Raj808 misses out on is the prizes he might have gotten if he won first place. Saying that there are a lot of other places on Hive, he can submit his stories in contests where he might win something above and beyond the original votes on his posts.
Truthfully, I was more upset with how and where Raj808 expressed himself than what he said. So I pointed it out to him. I did not think he would reply, but he did, so his and my conversation went on longer than I figured it would.
I will say this. Would you win if you wrote a fiction story and entered a contest for a nonfiction book?
The people that make the contests and websites have every right to make their own rules. You CAN break the rules but do not be surprised by the results.
Now, in general, I happen to agree with your underlying sentiment. Always question. Push the boundaries. Explore possibilities. You never know what you will find.
Now I am off to take my truck to pass a test so I can drive it for another year.
Have a wonderful day!
