Leicester put on a show yesterday as they beat Southampton in what is one of the biggest every trashing in the Premier League. Leicester beat the Saints 9-0 in a match that no one could have ever guessed or predicted the final result.
The Foxes were at their best in the match and were ruthless against Southampton. This means they are now ahead of Man City in second position in the Premier League.
Jamie Vardy and Perez bagged hat-tricks while Maddison, Chilwell and Tielemans also scored to complete the 9-0 trashing. That was superb night for Brenden Rodgers’ men.
The night was a perfect one for the foxes who were 5-0 up at half-time.
Coincidentally, Rodgers now becomes the first manager to lead 5-0 at half time (Leicester vs Southampton) and also lose 5-0 at half time (Liverpool vs Stoke) in 2015.
This was a great show from the foxes and one which put them a contender for the top six spot.
All eyes will be on them to know how far they will go and also see if that was just a flash of magic and nothing more. This would be determined come May 2020.
For now, Leicester should enjoy their biggest win!
