It's becoming worrisome the way Arsenal played recently. The games we are losing back to back are becoming unacceptable. It is easy to say it's pre-season but we need to see things to hope for in the coming season.
I also understand that we allowed some young players to play the match. We should also not forget that any player selected is equal to the task and they should give account of their performances.
We conceded very early in the match. 13 minute early goal suggest we lack concentration or didn't take the match serious.
Angers played wonderful football in the first 20 minutes and they deserve that early lead.
The goal by Melali was a shocker for me. It still points to the fact that we are very lacking in defence.
Luckily for us, Nelson equalised the goal in the 50 minute and we had to settle for a draw.
It means we have lost 2 and drew 1 in our last three matches. This is not a good stat for a team that wants to win trophies this season.
There are however some positives from the second half from the experience Xhaka. Matteo Guendouzi and Gabriel Martinelli also impressed me with their performances.
Surprisingly, Nketiah was silent throughout the match. He had little influence on the pitch and needs to look for what to do if he can't get his fluency the way he wants.
I hope the coach do something about the performances as they are becoming worrisome.
