We fed the homeless a hot meal Sunday afternoon. The wind was so high (40 MPH) that we could not set up the canopies. It was 37 degrees out, and with the wind chill it was pretty brutal. We expected 400 homeless, and only got 250 because off the cold.
We fed everyone Hot food, and even sent some plates along for later.
The left overs were sent to the Denver house for them to feed more at risk good people. We forgot 10 pumpkin pies in the refrigerator, so they went to the Denver House along with the left overs. A lot of good people, ate a good Thanksgiving meal this weekend! We were able to pass out some warm clothes and blankets too.
It was a great day out in the bitter cold; because it is always a blessing to be GOD's hands!
