I work a little differently. First I like to pray for wisdom, hoping GOD will pity me, and give me a little to use. Then I ask myself if it furthers my planning, and if I have the money to pay for it outright. It is an odd way to decide, but it works for me!
If it passes this smell test, I usually make a list of pro's and con's; to focus my final decision. By the time I get here, the answer is usually obvious....
BTW, 'wanting' it is a 'pro' on the list!
Now, for the fun part, the term pickup truck is accurate because originally the pickup truck was not fully assembled. It was a modification using crates, and you had to assemble it and add it to the rear of a model T frame. The first ones were offered by dealers who used a large crate box that became the bed of the truck, and I suspect the term box-bed truck came from that. Henry Ford came up with the term pickup truck, because you had to pick it up. 🚚
