On the video, I have always supported the rule of law. The use of Corporations to force fascist policies has been the direction taken by the Liberals for the last 30 years, it just gaining teeth as a monopolist increase! He does make good points though, and we need to break these guys up and make them a public utility.

Speaking to the analog vs digital, having embedded microprocessors and designs for the last 25 years I see the advantage of digital. But lately I have been designing a lot of my control equipment either direct analog feedback or with digital chips, and no microprocessor. Without a microprocessor there is no data to be taken. I'm a relatively good electrical engineer, and there's nothing I can't control without a microprocessor. As an interesting side note, it's also possible using this method, to Harden the control systems against an EMP! I am currently testing systems on my bench that will shrug off five times the maximum that they recommend in the UL standards. They allow one hit a 5000 volts, I am testing multiple hits at 25,000 volts. If my tester would go any higher, I would test that voltage also. But I'm not quite done with my 50000 volt unit yet.

Suffice to stay say that when I'm done with my control system at the homestead it will be very difficult to knock out with an EMP! If it's close enough to take out my control system it really won't matter I won't survive the radiation. So I'm kind of a deep prepper.

I looked at controlling the batteries that I'm building where the battery management system is microprocessor-based. I've decided against that gamma and I'm in the process of Designing a battery management system it doesn't use the Raspberry Pi originally bought for it. I have a ways to go there, and I will likely be forced to start with the 'approved' designed to be replaced at a later date.

I like the confetti idea it is basically what I've been doing by hand. So far I've been born in all 50 states anywhere from 10 years ago to the last hundred years; so I have filed their database quite a bit. This is the first time they've gotten past my electronic smoke. Part of that is my fault for not working as hard as I should on my electronic smoke screen.

I think Unix is going to be the only OS standing, when the s*** hits the fan; just because everything else will be locked down buy the 'tech' Lords!

I will be upgrading shortly do much faster machine still Linex based; and I plan on using my existing machine to bring up a Unix command prompt machine as a fallback in case they go after the Linex systems that remain functional.

I have kept my Windows system is current because it's nice to know your enemy, and some engineering apps require Windows to run. In the last decade, I have never put one of these machines online so they don't even know I have any running.

So an analog world free maybe a little more accurate than the digital world by choice and Design, I suspect that anybody that takes this route will be better off when the SHTF occurs!

We must all take steps to mitigate the problems we can recognize; so we can work on the problems that sneak up on us!
