Hello friends,

good morning to you all and happy Easter to all my needle movers and all my hive friends too, it’s actually a season of love so friends let love ❤️ lead, God loved us so much that was why he sent his only begotten son Jesus to come die for us even when we were not even worthy of such love and sacrifice, Jesus who was blameless all round, he was perfect, he never knew sin but he was made to take all our sins upon himself to the cross so we might be set free and it’s was also love that made Jesus accept the father’s decision to come die for us so friends we just have to share a little bit of love and kindness. Someone might be wondering how to share love, well..... to love some to me is to being able to sacrifice for them, I know how many times have gave up my food and stay hungry although the day just to make sure that someone else eats not only food have gave out most of my priceless stuffs to people but all the same the good thing is whenever you sacrifice you’ll sure see the blessing afterwards. So friends in your little way you can show love today.
It’s been a long night hope we’re all fine, it’s smilestitches@smilestitches your favorite brand on your screen again, have been off air for weeks now hmmmmm and have explained the situation around it just hope you all would understand that it’s not an intentional act but am just helpless but nevertheless I believe that soon things will get better and back to normal, I pray that happen soon. so friends today am here to share something with you all so get ready for yet another adventure to the fashion world were I’ll be sharing with you guys my amazing designs, concepts and creativities so friend as usual am here to share with you all an amazing waistcoat I just concluded now.
As usual I want to share with you all how I made this very simple but technical waistcoat for a new client I recently acquired through recommendation, a friend I usually make his outfit recommended another person to come have his outfit sewed by me, when the guy came and told me everything that I was recommended for him and I was like 🙆🏼‍♂️🙈 by who and he told me I was so happy at the same time I was shocked and sad cause I don’t really understand how waistcoat are been sewed tho have wore one sometime ago, I wasn’t really the one that draft and cut it I was only shown how to sew it not how to cut it and from there my happiness turn into sadness because I was unable to sew anything related to that aspect, i means suit and waistcoat so I just knew I was in deep trouble so In other to save myself 😂 I just went on YouTube and started watching tutorials on how waistcoat are been made and also Made some drawing of waistcoat on a piece of paper to get conversant with the picture, so to know how it will look like when I’ll be done and with that i processed to drawing and cutting it.

Items used:

  1. A tinted blank fabric
  2. A white striped with black fabric
  3. Heirstay gum
  4. Strong gum
  5. Suit Lining
  6. Buckler

My sewing processes:

First step:

I lay the black on the floor, it’s actually a double breasted waistcoat, the one that wraps round that’s the one He asked I made for him so I measured him same pattern. I lay the fabric and I indicated the length with a chalk and the body side too with a 3inches allowance at the front for the button and the button holes and that will also insure it’s wraps round, the neck was a normal rounded neck so I just pictured it in my mind and I did the cutting same way.

Second step:

After cutting the front, I used the front to cut a turning for the inside, and sewed it and I added a lining to the side to complete it.
Now I used the black striped material to do a side pocket of 4inches size on the down part of the waistcoat, I did it on the both sides.

Third step:

Now the front was done, I then proceeded to the back view, I took the suit lining, i lay it on the floor, bend it into two and I place the front I just finish on top it and I cut it same size but I included a little inches at the shoulder so I could get the harm hole done too then after the cutting i sewed it gradually same way I cut it.

Fourth step:

After I was done, I made a 0.7inches size like a belt holder in a pant and the length was 5inches, I made two and I added them to the back view and I sewed it and
