Since SmartSteem takes Quality of Content very serious - we made the decision to remove all of our votes from the posts still in the payout window.
This has lead us to want to clarify a few things.
Are You a Spammer? Do You Plagiarize? Do You Create Content To Buy Upvotes?
...If you answered any of these questions with a "YES!", SmartSteem isn't for you.
We take quality very seriously!
In fact, one of our top support questions is why is account "Whitelisting" taking so long. The answer is simple.
We're a small crew of highly motivated individuals, but analyzing an account and its content takes some time. We take pride in being demanding and whitelisting only people who contribute to the health of the blockchain.
This helps keep abuse at all time lows while skyrocketing meaningful posts to all time highs.
However, due to the huge influx of sign-ups, we have candidates by the hundreds now, which means we will take a bit of time manually reviewing and whitelisting you guys.
Rest assured we aren't "Sleeping on the Job".
So, summing up, you'll find we don't support plagiarists, low effort posters, scammers, spammers and other black hatted individuals.
We want to grow, and for us to grow the platform has to grow with us.
At the end of the day, it is up to all of us to make STEEM a better place.
