A a natural phenomenon a place called el bufadero located on the beach of La Garita, Telde Township. It is a blend between the beauty of a waterfall and the force of the sea.
It is two big cavities in the rocks from which the water flows filling them and emptying them at breakneck speed.
You might be asking yourself why it’s called “bufadero”. It is very simple: the rocks themselves have cavities in their interior, so when the tide goes up and fills them, these holes “spurt” the water while making a very characteristic sound, as if they were snorting (“bufando”, in Spanish).
It is quite a spectacle that is worth seeing, but you have to be careful since many people have drowned by going inside. You are literally at the mercy of the tide.
My experience 😊
True wonder of nature. Must see when the high tide is at its peak we are lucky to be right at very high peak. In some point I went too close and not even expected the water was all over me I was a little scared and I fall down, happily nothing happened I was not so close to the the main dangerous part el bufadero but with ocean is no jokes if you think water is low it can change very fast but generally I enjoy place and the amazing but dangerous El Bufadero.
