Hello steemians, I am Smartcarthy. I joined this phenomenal platform early February this year. The benefits I have enjoyed from this platform this few months cannot be stated in a single sentence. Apart from the monetary rewards, Steemit has affected my life positively in different ways. In my first week in the platform, I learnt a very expensive lesson from steemit, and that is; ‘being original’. How did I learn this? I had copied some ideas somewhere and posted in my blog just to get some earnings, unfortunately or fortunately, cheeter, which is a robot that checks plagiarism commented on my post and went as far as pasting the link which I had copied that particular idea from. I was totally depressed because I never knew the platform kicks against plagiarism. I thought of giving up, but no, I dared being original. I decided to maximize the power of the mind by thinking and creatively putting forward ideas that proffers solution to life problem instead of depending on others thoughts. I went ahead to apply this principle to my life, and this has helped me become better and more productive each day.
Another way which Steemit has changed my life is by inculcating in me the habit of consistency. Yes, in my first few days on Steemit, my payout was really discouraging. At times, I ended up having zero payout on a post, but I learnt one thing, that the best way to earn on this platform is embrace the principle of consistency. So I decided to keep pushing.. Within a period of time, the payout became more encouraging. With this, I came to discover that many aspects of my life needed a little of consistency. At times, whenever I put more effort to a specific goal and get no brilliant result, I give up trying. Ever since I applied the principle of consistency in my daily endeavors, the results has been incredible. So I made up my mind never to give up in my dreams no matter how long it might take for it to become a reality.
Life does not reward quantity but quality. This I learnt from this remarkable platform. Steemit rewards the content in an idea not the length the idea. Often, the payout I get from lengthy junky posts cannot be compared with that which I get from short but quality post. This I learnt that in order to achieve in life, you must be exceptionally outstanding. Your quality as a person is what determines the kind of people you attract and what you attract. So with this, I made a decision to spice up my quality as a person, and to make qualitative contribution to humanity as this will yield quality results and leave a lasting footprint for the next generation to follow.
Before joining Steemit, I never knew I could make a good writer. Yes, I thought writing was never my thing so I tried figuring out my area of interest which I couldn’t still figure out. As I joined the platform, I discovered that in order to earn, you must write, and not only write, but write well. So I decided to give it a try. My first few posts were total junks, but Steemit has groomed me into a better writer by its reward system. I am always encouraged to write quality articles knowing that my effort will however be rewarded. With this, I discovered that we have many hidden potentials waiting for us to maximize it to become a reality. All thanks to Steemit for spicing my writing abilities.
Another great lesson I have learnt from this platform is that life is richer when it is symbiotic and not parasitic. Before now, most of my relationship with people was parasitic in nature; this could be the reason why my life never moved forward. I discovered that people only gain from me without making any positive contribution to my life. When I examined the thrust of this platform, how it does not just gain from people, but reward people uniquely, I decided to readjust my relationship with people. I discovered that life becomes easier and richer when you associate with people that add value to your life. So I decided to build friendship with individuals who could spice my life with sound ideas and inspirations. This, I commend Steemit for finding ways to compensate bloggers.
This platform has enhanced my creativity and problem solving abilities. I have discovered that ever since I started blogging, I have become more creative than ever because I consistently exercise my mind to think, make something good out of those thoughts, and share it with the world. This has in turn helped me when it comes to quick decision making because of how consistently I maximize the power of my mind which is highly demanding in order to earn on Steemit.
I cannot forget the big ideas and remarkable knowledge I have gained from this platform. Since steemit kicks against junks, individuals through their writing add value to people across the world through quality and enlightening articles.
The ideas shared by phenomenal people in this platform have helped widen my horizon immensely. Each day, I get motivated by myriad articles written by people in this platform. This always pushes me to become better and better. The more I read, the more my mentality changes for good.
All in all, the positive contributions which Steemit as a platform has added to my life are inestimable. I have never seen such a platform as great and impacting as this.It is amazing how this platform has changed me radically in a short period of time. I have never been so dedicated to any social network platform the way I happen to give my time to Steemit. This is because the very foundation of this platform is so tantalizing.
