I want to have kids, beautiful ones
The ones who will have the things I never had
The ones who won't be deficient in my deficiencies
I have sleepless nights so they will have peaceful nights
Alcohol and whoring is not on my agenda
It is not because the bottle does not seduce me
It is not because the women do not tempt me
It is because my goals have overpowered me
I want to be the best father to my generation yet unborn
I want to change their lives even before they are born
The mother of my kids will look to me and say
There is the man who gave all to give you all
People think I am at loss for not succumbing to unnecessary pleasures right now
But regret is for those who lack will in their actions
I am a forward mover not a backward thinker
Although sometimes forward movement has a backward appearance
As I reach my peak and I am about to climax
The words grow from cold to hot
I know the promises I have made to my aspiring generation
To make a better me each day, so that I will be the best tomorrow
