Hi to all the tasteem community, today for the competition "your weekly choice", I decided to take me according to one of the best restaurants in Udine, the Niu.
THE LOCATION

The restaurant is located north of Udine, is suitable for both quick lunches and group dinners, in fact I was at Niu for a dinner with my old classmates.

The restaurant inside is spacious and structured on two floors, the restaurant has an atmosphere that favors conversation.

The restaurant is internally furnished in a very refined and rustic way, in fact the main theme of the restaurant is the Friulian cuisine, a poor cuisine composed of few ingredients.
MENU' AND DISHES
The menu is very vast, the most popular and appreciated dishes are those based on meat and those of the Friulian tradition, there are also on the menu, different types of pizzas, sliced, fish dishes and some vegetarian dishes.

During my dinner I ordered "Secreto di Pantanegra", a cut of Spanish black suckling pig with Belgian endive and potato rostì.
The dish was very good and the meat (cooked well) was very good with the other ingredients, the dish was paired with a Sauvignon.

Other friends, have instead decided for an Angus meat, more raw and always combined with a Sauvignon, honestly I prefer my dish because I prefer well cooked meat.

BEVERAGES
As previously mentioned, the meat was paired with a Sauvignon(a white wine), that goes very well with that type of meat, the restaurant has a great wine list.
PRICES
I must say, that in my opinion the price and the worst part of the dinner.
In fact even though the price is in my opinion slightly high (30 euros each), it can be justified by aperitifs and wine.
In a normal dinner the price in my opinion is around 20 euros.

CONCLUSION and VOTES
Surely it is a restaurant to try, it offers a wide choice of dishes and wines, obviously due to the excellent quality of the raw materials, the prices are not the cheapest.
