It's time for another #threetunetuesday by @ablaze
I like Russian doomer music as it reminds me of a mix between new wave and post punk with a bit of shoegaze ambience. One of the more iconic bands from this genre is Molach Doma. The first time I heard this song I cracked up because they used such tacky sounding drums. Eventually it grew on me.
Nurmberg is another one of my favorite bands from this genre. They tend to be more on the post punk side of things. Also I can stand listening to nom-english lyrics better while working as they sort of fade into the background rather than me trying to sort out what they are singing about.
She Past Away technically is a Turkish band but it so closely resembles the spirit of Russian doomer music I'll put it here too. They use the tacky electronic drums and have almost a surf vibe with Dio or Elvis vocals. When I first heard the song I though they were being ironic by making skat lyrics but instead its Turkish. Most other Turkish music I listen to has a baglama saz and a doumbek in it rather than 80s era drums and 90s era guitars lol.
That's all for now, thanks for looking :-)
