Here are my most famous mushrooms for this #mushroommonday

These are my pink oyster mushrooms that I grew from a kit about a year and a half ago.

I did a time lapse of their growth as well and it turns out this is my most viewed video on youtube. Maybe I need to get a number of kits and do time lapses of them to get more subs lol. The only problem is many mushrooms don't grow as quickly as these do and I would need a special humidity box setup to do a better job of the time lapses.

They grow really fast and a single kit can yield up to ten blooms.

I even threw away the kit and noticed more starting to grow as I took out the trash.

If you ever want to grow tasty mushrooms successfully then choose pink oyster mushrooms. The only thing to note is they start to smell like ammonia if they get too old. So you need to harvest them at the size above before they let out their spores. This is part of the reason why you don't see these for sale in stores, they have to be harvested immediately or they stink.

For taste these mushrooms have a slight hint of bacon, so they go really well on pizza. Like a vegetarian version of Canadian bacon.
