I finally found some mushrooms for #fungifriday by ewkaw@ewkaw

These little guys hatched out right after a rain and immediately started cracking.

I suspect this is what they always do.

But it could have been an issue where a ton of rain fell they had a chance to grow then the temperature dropped and dried them out. I'm still not sure what type they are but they grow all over the place here.

Now for an old familiar big one.

Dryad's saddles are a nice easily identifiable edible.

They are still harvestable at this state but only around the edges. If you cut too far in they will be too spongey to eat.

I left these ones here as this tree it was growing on gets fertilized with who knows what kind of chemicals. I prefer to harvest them farther out in the forest where the ticks are.

My daughter spotted this one on our evening walk.

It is a nice edible summer oyster just a bit ahead of schedule before summer actually hits. They are quite common and have a nice texture for cooking if you can find them before they get too dried out.
