Feathered Friends Around the Lake

Here are a few feathered friends I found around the lake for the #featheredfriends community by @melinda010100

Squawwwwwk!!! The red ring blackbirds are always easy to find around the lake. They defend their territory aggressively. This gives me the chance for nice close-up shots.

Here he looks satisfied with his warning squawk. I scared that human my work is done.

Now he is just glaring at me while I walk away.

Here is the female tending to a nest below somewhere.

Now the goose family I've been following. The babies are now all grown up. This guy looks like an adult now.

Here is another baby that looks pretty much just like an adult. Soon they will be ready to fly away from this lake to another one.

Here's a shot of the full two families. There are four parents and nine goslings here.

I also got a shot of a tiny little flycatcher. I'm thinking this might be a wood peewee of somekind? Looks like he caught a dragonfly meal of some kind.

Nearby this little ebony jewelwing was resting on a plant. I suspect this might be what the peewee has caught... What a snazzy meal.
