I am so excited to share the start of my fall garden.
In Arizona we have two planting seasons-- spring and fall.
WEEK 1
It is hard to garden in the summer with the temperature consistently over 100 degrees. Once it starts cooling down in September we can start planting.
This year I am living in a new house and my friend Angela has a great space for a garden and she let me use it however I wanted.

Before picture
I watered (soaked) the ground
Tools
The guy that rented me the rotter tiller told me that my screwdriver should be able to go all the way down before I start using the tiller.
Tilling
Here you can see Angela racking the soil I just tilled.

Purchase seeds
So many to choose from. I got veggies and flowers.
Plan garden
I use a very cool online Garden Planner from Mother Earth News Garden Planner
Then I laid out the seeds. Mostly so I would have a picture of where I planted each thing to know what was sprouting.

Plant
I took the picture from above and laid the seed packets on the soil then planted them according to the seed packet that was in that area of the garden.
This is the first time I have had a space this big to garden. This method seemed to work pretty well.

First plants coming up
This may not look like much. I see a lot of hard work and potential!
