I'm sure most steemians know of blocktivity by now, right? We used to have stop spot, but now we've been pushed down to sixth. That's not something to be ashamed of. We're a rank 45 coin and we're not far off TRON which is rank 11! Our AVI (Activity Valuation Index) is still one of the highest ones on there. This three year old blockchain is matching up to the supposedly "new and improved" EOSIO chains, no questions asked.
I'd be lying if I said EOS isn't bossing it in terms of how many transactions it is processing, however part of me believes that these transactions are produced by dApps to get higher rankings on dApp trackers in the same way that dodgy exchanges might do wash trading to get a higher volume on coinmarketcap. Just a thought.
The point I'm getting at is that we should have a day where spam is OK. Where everyone uses up all of their RCs. Let's see if we can smash that record of 2,522,380Ops, and put the network to a test to see if we really can handle mass adoption (because right now, we're only using about 0.08% of the network's capabilities).
