My Introduction

  Hello everyone 

Today I am very much excited to say 'hello' you all through www.steemit.com  My name is  Tejanath Pokharel. I am 57 years old male. 

  By profession I am a teacher of Himalaya Higher Secondary School, Khandbari in Sankhuwasabha District of Eastern.    I have been teaching for 34 years.

Social Service 

 Apart from teaching I also take keen interest in social service. I love kids as well as  helpless elderly people very much. I love to help the helpless kids as well as helpless elderly people very much  In order to fulfill my social service desire I played a great role to establish Sankhuwasabha Education Scholarship Foundation ( SESF)  a registered  NGO in Khandbari 20 years ago. I am one of the founder members of the organization. Since 1997 the organization has been providing scholarship to the poorest helpless kids to obtain quality education.

A company for Fund Raising 

In order to help the helpless the organization needs fund. It is  not easy for us to ask people for donation every time we need fund. There are  very few  generous people who donate and involve in social service.  In order to raise fund SESF established Makalu Arun Social Trek, a  registered and government licensed non-profit distributing social trekking company in Khandbari in 2010 and started tourism business. Through the company we organize community friendly social trekking  for the interested people. A apart from the porter guide salary  and other cost we also charge a little service charge to them. With the service charge  we  collect from them  we have been providing scholarship to the poorest helpless kids to go to school. 

Organization support

Now we have been supporting  an orphanage entitled Child welfare Home, Khandbari Now there are  6 orphaned and helpless kids. We have employed a care taker mom to take acre of them . We have managed  food, accommodation, education medication etc. for them The kids have been going to school and progressing well in their study. 

Our Social trekking business:

For the  interested tourist we organize social trek to the In our social trek program our  guests trek to the destination as preferred by them by employing  local porter guide. 

They stay at the local tea houses, home stay, have local food prepared by local people and pay directly to them. In this way the local people have  been benefiting  from our program. However we are  not expert in our program. We need our friend's  good suggestion and advice. We are looking forward to hearing good  suggestion and  advice  from them sin the coming days
