I currently live in a city that is famous for the military aircraft graveyard and the fact that during the summer triple digit temperatures are expected. The high prices you pay to stay warm during the winter, we pay to stay cool during the summer. One of the major issues that you run into is that there are only so many articles of clothing that you can remove before someone calls the cops. I can't wait to get out of here.
My daughter is currently a junior in high school and is looking at out of states schools because she can't wait to get out of here either. With no family left here to be concerned for, I have ZERO ties to Tucson. And now comes the million dollar question...WHERE AM I GOING TO LIVE AND WHAT AM I GOING TO DO?
Initially there is something very romantic about living as an Ex - Pat in Belize. Having a beach house sounds like living in heaven. I had the thought that I would get an old boat and have it shipped wreaked on the beach. Making the hull a bar and restaurant. With tiki torches randomly interwoven on the beach next to the boat and fallen tress that are used as benches where people visiting can enjoy the local catch of the day and the music mixed with the crashing waves at your toes... name of the place "DON'T ROCK THE BOAT"
Then there is the trill of wanting to live off the grid. I have always lived in a City and am ready for a less connected lifestyle and a more connected life. Peace of mind to become one with nature and having a self sustainable sanctuary. Growing veggies and having chickens and goats. Sounds simple, right!?! It is much more involved than that which showcases the differences between my abilities and my desires. But thanks to modern technology, there are tons of resources for individuals such as myself who are opening our minds to the possibilities.
As the tug-of-war continues as to which direction my compass will eventually have me take, these next 2 years are going to go exceptionally fast. Sharing this with you should be entertaining and fun!!!
