'Not good enough'
The word ring in my head
'Never good enough'
The last word she said
I'm a prisoner in my mind
It never let me out
I can never escape
The walls built from doubt
'Not enough'
The words ring clear
'Never enough'
Two words I never wanted to hear
I'm trapped in this dark place
My thought dark as night
I'm locked in and can't escape
I've tried with all my might
'Not perfect'
Two more scary words said to my face
'Never perfect'
Two more words to fill me with self hate
I'm must be perfect
In order to succeed
But my arms of scar
Destroy the dreams while I bleed
'Not mine'
Less syllables just as hard with to cope
'Never mine'
I'm left in the prison to mope
She was my everything
But she never loved me like I love her
She left me alone in my cell
To reminisce on what we are
'Not love'
She said as she packed her bag
'Never love'
Her name printed on my skin like a tag
A tattoo to represent my love
Her craved like a blade
Blood run away
Like she did but I wish she'd stayed
'Not perfect'
The same to Scarry words said to my face
'Never perfect'
Her scarred on my skin as I leave the world that I hate.
