Finally, we arrived at RUBBER RESEARCH INSTITUTE OF NIGERIA, BENIN by 11:30am. We all get down from the bus and are asked to follow a dark tall man.
We are taken to the engine room where the rubber is being extracted, there is a machine used in this room called LOHASHILPI. The rubber is being tapped from rubber tree by the tappers.
The rubber tapped contains 60% water(serum) and 40% hydrocarbon. Acid like acetic acid was added to the tapped rubber to make the rubber coagulate.
It is then smoked to give this

We also went to the pathology sector, biotechnology laboratory, plant breeding sector and Soil, Plant & Nutrition(SPN).
-A way of preserving rubber is by adding ammonia.
After spending about 4hours at the place, we then moved to the bus so that we can proceed in our journey.
After discovering that we can no longer proceed on that day, we went straight to BRONZE ROYAL HOTEL, OLUKU, BENIN CITY and got there around 5:00pm.
We are then given key to our rooms so as to relax and cool our heads. We went to our rooms and relax, gist, catch fun and so on.
