There is no doubt about it, Bitcoin has revolutionized the way we value money.
The only problem is, most Bitcoin investors do not even realize it. Its so sad to see Bitcoin holders continually denominating their worth against their country's local FIAT currency. To do so totally misses the point of Satoshi's vision of a peer-to-peer exchange medium in which individuals are free to transact with each other without central bank or government interference. The individuals themselves can place a value on the currencies based on the goods and services involved in the transaction. Technical traders like Tone Vays claim to be proponents of Bitcoin yet instruct their followers to 'buy and sell' their Bitcoin which amounts to nothing more than trading it in for your local FIAT currency. This was not Satoshi's vision for Bitcoin and clearly will not allow us to escape centuries of government and central bank control over our lives.
Whether you realize it or not, when you buy or sell Bitcoin you have drawn a line in the sand. You either want freedom from those that control how we transact with each other or you do not. Of course you can be a 'trader' and constantly switch from one side to other but, when the song is finished, you will have chosen a side.
How will we know if we are winning? When people start valuing their Bitcoin against Gold or other Cryptocurrencies instead of banker controlled FIAT. When people and businesses start accepting Bitcoin and Cryptocurrencies in exchange for goods and services. When the average Joe knows what a Cryptocurrency is.
Sadly most Bitcoin owners are on the wrong side of that line in the sand and most of the world doesn't know the line even exists. Draw a line and choose a side.
