At this point, if you already own Bitcoin or you are familiar with buying Bitcoin, upgrading your membership will be easy for you. If you have never owned Bitcoin before then you will need to follow the following steps. If you get stuck feel free to ask a question in the comments below.

It takes Bitcoin to make Bitcoin. This may sound counter-intuitive but the BitClub Network only accepts payment in Bitcoin. This is typically where most Canadians get stuck. There are a number of options for this; the 3 most convenient (in my opinion) below.

Option 1. Open an account on a Bitcoin Exchange (quadrigacx.com or coinbase.com)

Quadrigacx

Quadrigacx is licensed and Canadian but does not accept credit cards. Bank wire transfer or electronic transfer are you only real options here.

Coinbase

Coinbase is U.S. based but accepts Canadian customers and credit cards.

Option 2. Open your own wallet and find a Bitcoin ATM

Blockchain.info is the most widely used and easiest wallet to open. It works well in a web browser on your computer or by using the app on your phone which you can download from your applicable app store. Once you have your wallet installed (don’t lose your password) you are ready to find an ATM to purchase some bitcoin with dollars. Surprisingly, Bitcoin ATM’s are all over the place. A simple search on Google Maps will find the one closest to you. You simply insert your cash and scan the ‘Receive’ bar code on your wallet and the Bitcoin is deposited instantly. It’s that easy.

This is the fastest and most convenient way to fund your wallet. The only disadvantage to using ATM’s is the commissions. They typically charge 10 – 15% but they can vary so look for one with low fees in your area. Such is the cost of convenience and anonymity.

Option 3. Purchase Bitcoin from someone using Localbitcoins.com

Similar to the ATM’s the premiums can be high but you have the choice of either meeting the person and making the exchange face-to-face (your cash for their Bitcoin) or using the site’s electronic transfer options.

You are now ready to upgrade your membership click here and purchase your first Mining Pool with the BitClub Network.
