Shin Hyōe sushi restaurant that tastes as good as it looks

First of all, this sushi restaurant doesn't have an English name, I took it's Chinese name 信兵衛, ran it through google translate to Japanese and got Shin Hyōe. That's why you probably won't find the Japanese name written in English anywhere.

Shin Hyōe screams Japanese all over even though it's not in Japan. Just look at all the Japanese drawings on the wall, if you love this type of culture you're going to love this place. I'm not too familiar with this culture, even though I watch a fair amount of Japanese films, but what I watch is a slightly different genre, more modern. However, I was still very impressed with the decor of this place.

Decor aside, the food continues the Japanese theme. We ordered three dishes. The first being a rice bowl topped with sashimi and cod roe. This bowl isn't very big but it's packed with rice inside and a lot more filling than it looks. To be honest it taste as good as it looks, even though it looks a bit cheesy with the cocktail umbrella on top.

The next dish is a sliced beef bowl rice. There's so much beef here piled up like mountain that it could easily fall off any minute. Do you see the little flag on top of the beef mountain? That's the logo for Shin Hyōe, and its got it Chinese name written on the other side. All the dishes comes with this flag. I think it's great!

And the last dish is a plate of beef fillet sushi. That's like the normal raw fish sushi, but it's got slices of pan fried fillet beef on top instead. The juice from the warm beef slices sitting on top of the sushi rice makes the whole sushi that much flavoursome and you dont'need to dip any extra soy sauce or anything.
