This is the second time I've come to this restaurant recently. Its a south east Asian resraurant called Ba Ba Nyonya Cafe owned by a Singaporean guy (of course!) who's also a bit of a musician and performs here sometimes.

We came here quite late last night and there were only two other table of diners apart of us. The decor of the cafe is quite simple and comfortable, and there were many displays on the wall which seems like the owners hobby such as musical instruments and tea pots.

The menu is light here , they only offer a few items. Of course it includes the most popular Hainanese chicken rice and laksa. I ordered our food at the counter and waited patiently for it to arrive.

After a little while, here it was. My wife's Hainanese chicken rice came first. It was quite a big portion, and came with a bowl of rice cooked in the chicken soup and two dipping sauces. The chicken is off the bone and was plated with boiled cabbage, slices of tomato and some cauliflower. I tasted one piece of the chicken and was very tasty.

Then my seafood laksa noodle came. I could smell the seafood aroma as soon as they put down the bowl of laksa. It smelled delicious, like the ones I previously had in Singapore and Malaysia. To me it was vey authentic and had a good kick of spice. I finished off every drip of the soup. And this is perfect for summer.

By the time we finished our meal, all the other diners had left. We hung around and chatted with the staff till it was nearly closing time. Definitely one to come back more often.
