Also, consider how much more active a community might be here if they literally were neighbors & coworkers who see each other daily, have all the down time in the world, and can support each other for financial benefit to varying degrees.

It just seems to me if we funded a series of reasonable but helpful donations to smaller organizations, the traffic they would bring would bolster our numbers considerably and our value, not just in terms of money, but for the functionality we bring to the world. Wouldn’t that also grow brand recognition?

As far as social platforms go we’re a community for communities but so far all of our communities are virtual. We don’t have a physical presence to usher people over. This would lean toward a remedy for that.
