One day before celebrating the festival of silent. I saw many giants puppet on the street which is called Ogoh-Ogoh (Balinese Language). it made from the combination of many materials such as bamboos, woods, Styrofoam and paper. In short, we need extra skill to create it. Balinese Children are very smart for building it.
This is my first time of witnessing this special event. The shape or appearance of Ogoh-Ogoh is big and so scary. it brought or paraded around the village, beside that most of the actors dominated by the youth. Based on the history, Ogoh-Ogoh symbolizes the evil spirit who wants to disturb the human beings. The aim of showing this is for purification of the environment from any spiritual pollutant that come from any kind activities. In the end of the activity, all the Ogoh-ogoh are destroyed by burning into the fire.
