Its been a month in steemit and I find this community very appealing. I've been posting since day one, and I was discourage at first. But somehow I kept posting because I was hoping I could, someday get a big share on that reward pool. But I guess, I'm looking at the wrong side of steemit.
My renewed perspective of steemit changed when I started exploring the different tools, api, and database of steemit. The data available for analysis in steemit is huge. The data that is free, accessible, and open source is what keeps me going on steemit.
I've seen some developers here come and go, leaving some tools and improving some of it. And its exciting to think that there are still some tools that are not developed. And on thing I'm soo optimistic is that steemit feels like a self-organizing ecosystem. As if some Gods gave some basic tools and its up to the users to develop it and make it work. Since its open source and the database are accessible to those who know how to go through technical stuff, you can't just rant about the lack of notification or the proper suggestion of post you may like - it is up to you if you should develop something or do something about it. We have the necessary ingredient to develop any features we can think of, what we lack is the willpower to start something or the technical skills to start.
I'm excited about steemit because its a living organism - evolving, adapting, and self-organizing itself to optimize and efficiently allocate the proper amount of resources.
To those who are know to steemit, or have been in steemit for long - we have one imperative to do. We have to push it its limit.
Who do we do that?
Push it until it breaks for that is the only way we can make it evolve:
Proper attributions to content creators is the number one strength of steemit blockchain. And I think, I've never seen a project like this before. Steemit is just an experiment, the largest social experiment in history. It is a big interconnected web of relationships similar to the one shown below.
