Highway flight
The vulture is the highest flying bird.
Its highest flight was recorded by Rupel's Venture at the height of 37,000 feet in Ivory Coast in 1973, when it had affected an airplane. This height is much higher than the Everest (29,029 feet), and the lack of oxygen at such high altitude causes most birds to die.
Thompset explains, "After this, studies related to the vulture came to know about such characteristics related to the structure of their hemoglobin and heart, which in turn can breathe in extraordinary environments."
