They say it’s a Biking trail that is meant to be road top to bottom. Welllll... My girlfriend Abby and I decided to hike UP this mile long Out & Back trail that has a 500+ ft elevation in the first half mile. It was a Exciting workout, and awesome chance to do some minor rock climbing, spend time with “Me Lady”, and practice barefoot running since my Vibrams were trashed from my backpacking trip. (Vlog For that coming soon!). Here’s some pics Nd stuuuuuffff. Photo credit goes to Abby for sure!! She’s amazing!!
...You can’t really tell probably but that is a staaa-eeeep incline. Real steep Lol
...Almost all the way too the top he made it lol.
But I’m Just happy to be getting a taste of how it feels up there. It was fun, and to be optimistic as well as honest, I was impressed by my finger strength. Thinking about joining a rock climbing gym for sure!!
...so excited to be bare foot out there man. First time natural running but I have been using Vibrams exclusively for about 6 months so the transition to Tarzan status felt more fun than challenging. And the difference in balance and awareness makes a simple trail run a Fun quick live action puzzle on how to place every step of each stride you take. Keeps you alert. Loved it!!
... Before you go barefoot grab some five finger shoes With a little sole, graduate to a five finger shoe that has a more minimal sole, and then break out your bare feet for short distances at first. And catch them on sale!! This is a great way to get fifty plus dollars off the price and still get a great comfortable functioning shoe.
Had a great time, awesome day hike!!
And I can’t forget to mention how much mental relief comes with getting into the woods for even just a few hours.
P.S. This is one of my first post so please comment any tips or tricks. I also appreciate constructive criticism. Stoked to have you guys!!!
