I took a picture of this mouse today. I came up to it slowly while approaching an intersection with a red light. I did not know why it stayed motionless there. I wanted to get it out of the road as I would do for a bird but having been bitten in the past and not having the right tools for a rescue handy, I decided not to interfere with it. This most likely would mean that a car will run over it shortly.
The reason I decided to post this is that once back at home, I got a chance to examine the picture carefully and what I saw really appalled me. Look carefully, do you see what I see?
Car drivers look this up as these are the victims you often don't even realize you are creating! Don't drive if you don't have to and don't glorify driving by having anything to do with motorsports. Thank you.
I'm getting sick of all the deaths and injuries I see on city streets. The injuries of animals are particularly heart-braking because there is no one for them there and so their misery is more often seen publicly than that of people.
