Here is how I believe the end of nuclear armament will occur: it is starting now here with me and this post on Steemit.

First, let's see what my dream objective looks like, and then let's find the way to turn it into reality. What I want to see happening is this: the nuclear warhead will be carefully removed from every nuclear missiles in every country that has them. This job will be done by the respective military forces that control this armament. (The military will be able to retrofit their missiles with conventional explosives.) Then, the nuclear material will be shipped aboard navy vessels to the radioactive and inhabitable US Bikini Atol that was destroyed through the US testing of nuclear bombs. Large and deep holes will be dugged up and the nuclear material will be buried in concrete layers 50 feet deep into the ground. Different sections of the Bikini Atol will serve to burry the respective nuclear material of all nations.

It certainly doesn't have to happen exactly like this. And you have to take in consideration that some of that radioactive material will be requested for peaceful purposes. But where ever bomb making material is present, security will need to remain high. Still, my above description gives you a clear idea of where I think the world must be heading with its nukes.

Now, along with this vision, I think it is important to set a timeline for this. When do I think this will occur? Well as I mentioned before, no ordinary person can single handedly de-nuclearise the world because it is only the world's top layer that can make that decision. So, any timeline that I create will need to be approved by them. For the purpose of helping the top layer of all nations set immediate objectives, I think that a one-year goal would be a nice and feasible objective; let's say Dec. 31, 2018.

But this objective may be impractical as governments take their time in making decisions and some governments are likely to resist the idea at first. Getting a public campaign off the ground to help with that can take some time too. So, realistically, a 5 year timeline may be needed but I certainly hope it will take half as much time and that by the end of 2020, we will live in a much safer world.

In my next post, I'll start brainstorming ideas as to how we will get there. Feel free to get started here in the comments section. I will try and establish which actions I myself should do next that will get me closer to my objective along with actions that I think everyone should do. Resteeming and upvoting this post certainly would not be a bad idea in the meantime. If you want something, it has to show somehow. Thank you.
