Wow its been such another long road but not as long as it took for reaching the 2nd wizards curation badge.
I feel this time the path to being a more capable wizard as been slightly...dare I say it... easier?

I mention last time it almost seemed as if the algorithm had slightly changed more towards being in favour of curating but look at us now a few months down the line and we got hit by Hardfork 21/22 confirming that the system is now in favour of curating, which I always thought needed adjusting slightly.

Yes I know this system previously caused a big problem as all the whales would just simply pile-up on a few select people to try and squeeze out the best rewards result possible.
I also feel those who curated at the time didn't get rewarded enough for their efforts and thus making people abandon the voting of others with linear, what we have now is still not a perfect system but it's early days to make a full decision on whether this was really the right move.

Anyway since I first became a wizard curator at 100.000 curation points and earning the first Wizards curation badge it then took me another 11 months to get the 2nd Wizards badge at 250.000 curation points.
I already knew and predicted it would take around 1 whole full year but I was still gobsmacked by how long it honestly took.
And so it was interesting to see that to reach over 375.000 curation points which mark's the 3rd curation badge only took 6 months!?

Seems to me there was already a slight change in the system before hardfork21 hit us.

Regardless I still remember being thankful the first time I got 100.000 curation points as I was happy to have joined all the 1315 wizard badge owners at the time at their ranks.
I have no idea how many wizard badge owners there are now but I am sure its a ton more from when I first joined so please if anybody knows of a good curation ranking tool please let me know in the comments below as I am curious on just how many we have now.
Not only that but I'am also curious to know how many have the 4th Wizards curation badge, as this also just goes to show just how much the community as been growing and voting.

And so by now the very first early stages of being a young newbie wizard are over I remember a time not even able to begin to comprehend how to start one of those high reward curation spells.
I was more like a muggle, you know those non-magic folks who would be shocked to see one of their posts earn a decent reward.
But things have changed...

I eventually got past knowing the basic's of summoning and producing a curation spell but it was still going to be a very difficult tough climb to reach up to the fourth league of wizard curation spell rankings.
This was especially true with the currant state of Steemit before HF21/HF22 but it does seem like they improved the system somewhere inbetween or maybe I just became a better wizard lol.

Maybe not I dont know the answer, but join me in this journey and time will tell as we grow together.

As from today with now the 4th Wizards badge in hand I hope to continue curating towards the 5th and final of the wizard badge's.
These past 5 months were full of more training of the mind, the most difficult part was of course the beginning making and training the mind that it is even possible to cast such curation spells with a greater ease.

But I got down finally the very simple basics of curation spells I then moved on to making mid level curation spells but gosh is it still a struggle.

The mission from today is to start the long journey to becoming a even more powerful wizard the highest of wizards...someone like say Voldemort..
Hmm actually scrap that, I feel a "Gandalf" type of a wizard would be a much more powerful force, perhaps even Saruman!
But thinking about it Voldemort and Saruman are both evil wizards and I want to help the Steemit community... not go and destroy it.

So I passed the third Wizards Guild year which was learning how to build on-top of the basic spell's of curation into mid level tier spells to became a even stronger at curating.
The focus of all this wizardry learning is using the first of the most powerful curation spell's that exist in this crazy magic Blockchain world.

The first of the most powerful wizard's spell's is one in which the caster as the immense power to turn ones-self into a gran high flying dragon...well wait..kinda, I have been reminded that at first we can turn into a little baby Dragon.
Your probably wondering why? Well the intention is to eventually make the spell strong enough to be-able to fly high across the skies of the Steem Blockchain land and spread even much more curation goodies to even more good folks.

So until that day comes I must now go and disappear back into the school of wizardry for perhaps another full year "I really hope not" and study hard for those last tier magic and curation spells of the Dragon.

But why is all this so great?

Well I feel like curation is a good sign that certain Steemian's are indeed awake/active and are out there voting on peoples post's which are produced by other active Steemians.
Which in turn makes for a better community because those who get upvoted feel rewarded for spending their time and attention on the site either posting or commenting.

The more Wizards we have around here the better, it means many more are out there also voting on peoples content which is great news for everybody who is decently active.

But Shouldn't You Just Self Upvote?

While I think some self voting is ok I do think some of those votes should also be going back towards those active in the community.
Self voting can help your Steem Power grow and as your getting more power I hope you do the right thing and vote on some other people's content.
I for one enjoy spreading the money by curating other Steemians post's also please feel free to lend me any delegated voting power if you don't want to curate yourself or if you have too much SP to handle and just don't want it going to complete waste.
You could also delegate if your going to be away from Steemit for a while or going on holiday this will keep your Steem working for you.

As for what happens to most of the earned power? Well that's easy with me it will go towards powering up, if you didn't see my announcement post I powered-up to dolphin this year.
Dolphin of course gives the opportunity to reward others with even greater rewards.
