Do you have crypto stored on your phone or Bluetooth enable MAC or PC? Well, you could be vulnerable to the latest exploit found but this time it's through your devices Bluetooth. The wireless hack can affect a wide range of devices including Android, Linux, iOS, and Windows.

The BlueBorne attack has unusual effectiveness and can access any device that has Bluetooth turned on within 32 feet of the attacker. The victim does not even have to accept the connection or be tricked in any way to click on something malicious and with 10 seconds can be owned by the infiltrator. The attack is especially effective against Linux and Android OS's due to the high system privileges that can be obtained and almost any exploit the hacker chooses to be run, can be, completely unbeknown to the victim.

Surprisingly there is no patch for Linux yet but they maintain a fix will be released soon. Google says it has provided an update to device manufacturers last month but this can sometimes take weeks if not months to filter down to the users. If you are running Apple's iOS prior to version 10 you should update immediately. Microsoft said their Windows phone was never exposed and they patched PC's with their July update, however, nothing was mentioned in the patch notes.
