Cowpea, also known as black-eyed pea or southern pea, cultivated for both its pods and seeds.Vigna plants can be either erect, semi-erect, or climbing. Many have vining growth habits, especially the cowpea and adzuki bean. Usually small, yellow or purple, resembling typical legume flowers.
