For as long as there has been aerial warfare, pilots have painted or stuck ‘tallies’ onto their aircraft fuselage, usually under the cockpit, denoting their various ‘kills’.
These tallies would denote the amount and the type of ‘kill’, so a tank silhouette for tanks, a factory symbol for bombing runs, the enemies insignia for other aircraft, a ship or submarine for naval targets - there is a symbol for every type of specific target the aircraft in question was used for.
Recreate a typical ‘cubicle’ office environment in a gallery room, with around 500 cubicles, each one numbered on the wall outside, the cubicle walls around 1.5m high.
In each cubicle there will be a desk and a chair, no other furniture or decoration.
On each desk there will be a Macbook with the lid closed. The Macbook will be plugged into a single power socket.
On the lid of each closed Macbook in every cubicle there will be tally stickers denoting the various ‘kills’ of that particular combat operative.
