Hello, today I’m going to post about the first step of violinmaking.
If you have a formplate already, it could be first step.
Every building has each columns. Violin is a kind of building(house), so it needs the columns also.
It calls ‘the Block’. It could be made without the blocks but it couldn’t be strong enough. Put these blocks 4 edges each, upside and downside , so totally 6 blocks have been put at the formplate.
The material of the block is ‘Spruce’. Next posting will be about another material ‘Maple’.

안녕하세요 오늘은 바이올린 만들기의 첫단계에 대해 포스팅하려 합니다.
바이올린 만드는 첫단계로는 기둥을 세우는데요, 모든 건물(집) 에도 지지해주는 기둥이 있듯이 바이올린에도 기둥이 있습니다. 명칭은 우리말로 굳이 번역하자면 ‘나무조각’ 정도가 될 수 있겠지만 아무래도 기둥 이 낫지않을까 해요.
기둥으로 쓰일 나무는 ‘가문비나무’ 라는것을 쓰고 악기제작용 틀이 준비되었다면 4군데의 각 모서리에 하나씩 그리고 위아래로 하나씩 해서 총 6개의 기둥이 붙여지게 됩니다. 이 기둥없이도 악기를 만들 수 있지만 그만큼 튼튼하지 않기때문에 공장제가 아닌 전부 수작업으로 만들어지는 악기들은 모두 기둥이 있다 보시면 될것같습니다.
