Hello friends, I haven't written here for a while but finally today I had the time to make this article that I hope you will like it because last month I finally visited the National Automobile Museum in Turin named after Gianni Agnelli one of the in my opinion museums dedicated to the most important cars in the world
The entrance ticket to this museum costs € 16 but trust that the price is right because it is really worth it.
The visit to the museum can be free Or you can buy a ticket to take a guided tour It will certainly cost you more But as I did I had the opportunity for this person to explain to me every corner of this museum
This museum is made up of one of the rarest and most interesting collections of its kind, but according to what the guide told me, more than 200 original cars of almost 80 different brands are preserved here and as you will see in the photos they have been placed in their historical context
For me, who are passionate about engines, it was a real thrill to see practically certain models that I had only seen on paper due to the fact that many had disappeared after my birth.
This museum is structured in three floors and to get around it all it took me about 2 hours going quite fast and there are very exhaustive descriptions on each car but even because it knows how to use technology better than me there is the possibility to download an application which practically explains each car to you interactively.
In this museum you practically take a journey through time, starting from the first car invented with coal up to the much more modern electric cars but inside the museum you will also find prototypes that in reality never arrived in production but were invented over time and then placed in this museum as a collection.
As you can see from the photos the museum is well kept and certainly next time I will go back with my nephew who is a super enthusiast of cars because in this museum there is an opportunity to introduce children to certain models they have never seen before.
At the end of the course I bought some books where he told the story of these machines because I studied mechanical engineering so I am very passionate about the subject.
The museum was born in 1932, think how old it is but it is well preserved.
According to what the guide told me, if we have the opportunity to see these cars and thanks to his collector and founder of the museum who is Carlo Biscaretti Di Ruffia who managed to gather all these cars but also chassis that I saw during my visit, and many engines, and to each piece or car on display there is the creativity, excellence, technique and manufacturing knowledge of Italy, but they are also linked to a history as in the case of those of Formula 1.
Inside the museum there is also a simulator to drive some GT cars and drive in various car circuits, but I have not tried it because in my opinion the cost was really prohibitive we are talking about € 15 for 10 minutes
In the last pavilion there are also various models of vintage motorcycles but also more recent in order to integrate this museum.
