Relaxing time close to the river

Yesterday, during a pause from work, me and my hubby @paolobeneforti went to walk along the side of the small river close to home to breath a bit of fresh air and to enjoy some relaxing time.

During the walk, we watched a family of beautiful ducks (Malards,  Anas platyrhynchos) swimming on the quiet water of the river. 

It's not common to watch this kind of ducks along this river, but sometime it happens and it's always a wonderful show!

In the second pic you can see a couple of them: a female and a male. The male one has a glossy bottle-green head and a white collar that make him really beautiful. ^_^

I hope you like this little show that Nature gave us!
