A freaky bird (oil on cardboard)

Hello hivers, an happy Saturday to you all!
Another very hot day of Summer here, but later me and my hubby @paolobeneforti will go on a small village called Spedaletto on a hill not so far from my city to draw with his students and, at the same time, to breath coolest air than here. I can't wait to be there because here in my city now the Sun shining really in a hard way.

This morning, as usual, I woke up soon to work with my brushes and colors but I slept bad tonight and I felt myself too tired to work on a new painting, so I exercise my hands working with scraps of cardboards.
I painted a sort of prototype for a series of paper dolls in form of birds and, in the following pics, you can see the final result:

Watching the first one I thought the wings are working not so well and so I replaced one of them:

I'm not so satisfied by the result, but I think that working on some other one at the end I'll have the "bird" I want as a good result.
It's an oil colors painting on a shape of bird cut from cardboard sheet and, as usual, I took some pics while I was painting it so you can see the process too:

I hope you like it!
See ya soon and stay safe,
Silvia
