Yes that's exactly correct....😀
I prefer the shorter snowshoes for trails that are narrow and go up steep trails otherwise I end up tripping over my feet.
Then for big open flat fields with deep snow which I very seldom snowshoe in, I use the longer snowshoe so I stay on top of the snow as much as possible.😇
Honestly for mountain snowshoeing the shorter the better ........ for me!😇
I have also found that as the temperature warms up snow will stick to the teeth, you can help avoid that problem by covering the teeth with any kind of duct tape.....
