Hello Steemit and welcome to my post. Today i will be telling you are about the STEEM silver round that is currently on pre-sale. This silver coin is 1oz .999% silver which is the best type of silver and is an excellent way to show your commitment to STEEM and have something to show off to your steemit friends through unboxing posts/videos. This years design came from @edxserverus who won 2 rounds of voting in contests held by @raybrockman for the #steemsilvergold community which is a group of 150ish precious metals stackers trying to share something special with the Steemit community. If we can gain new stackers along the way all the better, people are always very shocked at how heavy these small bullion coins are and it's addictive. This is the third year of release starting back in 2017 with the first release.

How the presale works

There is a planned mintage of 1500 of these STEEM silver rounds. The way we run it is we sell 1500 coins and then pay the mint to make them. 90% of everything is set up at the mint, the silver is reserved with the priced locked, the front die design is ready and when payment is made to the mint, they will produce our reverse die which is edxserverus's design. This process take 1-2 weeks and then a few days to actually mint, wash and treat the STEEM silver coins. The coins are then collected and shipped out.

Short history of the STEEM silver round

A few years back in 2017 a silver stacker, fellow #steemsilvergold members and all round good guy @sevinwilson came up with the idea to produce a STEEM round made from .999 silver. The whole community embraced the idea and started to arrange contests and donation drive posts. Sevin must have had everything set up before hand because 13 weeks later there were STEEM silver round unboxing posts popping up everywhere. The winning design from 2017 came from @bearone and showcases each stage of steemit progression from minnow to whale with the boarder wording "community" in 4 languages.

The 2018 round came within 6 months of the 2017 being released as it was late 2017 and we thought it was a good time. Again, Sevin offered up his time to run this one more time with the help of raybrockman and once again, the #steemsilvergold community got excited and the 150 strong community got back to work, with 30ish members spending hours on designs, voting designs through stages with chances to make small revisions. the winning design came from @welshstacker which is the steemit tree with the different branches representing all the different communities on steemit. There are some hidden minnow and whales shapes added to the ends of branches and also a hidden welsh dragon. Welshstacker also included the wording "community" in different languages.

That bring's is to 2019. This years design is bold and looks amazing. I personally can not wait until i get mine this year and having reserved numbers, im building a nice date run. We understand that the price of STEEM is down this year compared to others so there is an option to pay with paypal this year. This project is a non profit and actually costs a few SSG members a few dollars but its worth it to see the results and all the fantastic unboxing posts, people giving them away in contests are to friends. There is just over 1000 left to buy and plenty to go around for everyone.

Look at all the beautiful detail in this design and again containing the wording community within the rim. Trust me when i say you will not be disappointed with owning one of these.
