Throughout the ages, gold has caught the interest of many people, has sparked many people's fascination, and even become a source of obsession.
Gold is a unique metal. The luster of gold will not fade, tarnish, corrode, or oxidize over time. There is no shattering of gold as even when hammered paper thin it cannot be damaged. You can easily mold precious metal to fit almost any statue or piece of art.
Gold is, in that sense, a symbol of indestructibility, eternity, and adaptability.
Neither time nor nature can fade the color of gold. Whether it was buried centuries ago or millennia ago, a gold coin or other golden object that has been unearthed after a thousand years will still be in its original, undamaged state.
Gold is not simply a symbol for immortality, it is also a symbol for any uncorruptible quest, ambition, or purpose.
The notion that gold has these properties proves more than just its general value as money.
