The last time I gazed upon this tree,
it had lost all its leaves to the Winter season.
Just like most deciduous trees that lose their leaves in winter.

Do you know that word deciduous is from
the Latin word “decidere”, which means “to fall off”?

Spring begins 10 days from now, on Sunday, March 20. But this tree has regained its glory... look at all its healthy green foliage!

Funny how Spring is early in these parts.

Come Summer, its leaves will be so bushy,
thick and spreading, and give lots a shade.

Birds are already gathering here!

Just two weeks ago this flowering plum tree
was full of flowers. It was a glorious sight!

The tree was fully covered with flowers
that was beautiful and simply spectacular!

The flowers of this trees are single blooms
of light to medium pink color.

It still has some flowers left which we can enjoy.

For this flowering plum, it is the last flowers of Spring
(although technically not yet Spring).
