There are many types of bars: minted ingots, pressed bars, cast bars, hand-poured bars...
They come in varying weights, shapes, and sizes.
Countless private mints (and now government mints), and manufacturers around the world produce these bars.
In the past silver bars have lower premiums than silver coins, but not anymore. More and more silver bars are priced like silver coins. And sometimes they have higher premiums, such as in the case of hand-poured silver.
I used to be able to find bargains in 1 oz silver bars. Today, finding great deals on 1 oz silver bars is challenging.
Hand-poured bars are especially pricey today.
We may have to skip this year's 2025 Hive Round.
Those of us who got the 2023 Hive Round and 2024 Hive Round for HBDs were lucky!
